Imagine your child's thrill of seeing a live deer in the wild for the first time. Imagine how their self-confidence will soar when they take responsibility for themselves and others in their group. Imagine the joy and delight they will experience when they learn about the natural world that surrounds them. Dancing Coyote Camp uses a Montessori philosophy to teach children, ages 7-14, about nature. Your child will be one of up to only 20 children per session, guided by an experienced staff using a carefully designed curriculum and an established agenda to learn about a variety of topics ranging from geology to biology, to art, to communication skills. Where is Dancing Coyote Camp? Dancing Coyote Camp, while seemingly remote, is located only 2.5 miles from the town of Leavenworth, Washington. A dirt road winds through the woods to the camp. The camp itself is on top of a soft ridgeline at 1700 to 1900 feet of elevation. Walking the acreage, the student campers will enjoy vistas in all directions: from Wenatchee to the east, to The Enchantments in the southwest, to Glacier Peak in the northwest.
