"When
I got home from Dancing Coyote camp I couldn’t believe how small
everything looked." |
| —
Hannah, age 12 |
| |
| "My
favorite part of the camp was making new friends. It was nice to meet
girls from other places and become best friends in just a week." |
| —
Paige, age 12 |
| |
| "When I
first signed up for camp I was sure I wouldn’t learn anything
new because I had been camping a lot and had gone to Wilderness Awareness
School’s summer programs. One time as a group of girls were
walking to the showers we spotted a big stag deer with a large rack
of antlers just walking through the woods. I knew then that it was
a special sign to see him and that this was a special place. I will
never forget that morning." |

Kelsey, age 10 |

|
| "We
just got the to secret beach when the weather changed into a violent
thunder and lightning storm. At first I was very worried. Some kids
stayed out in the rain with their swimsuits on, dancing in the rain,
they couldn’t get any wetter even if they were swimming. My
brother and I found it was totally dry under the trees. We were still
a bit scared. Then Mrs. Holeton said, “pass the popcorn, please”
and I realized we were watching the most fantastic movie Nature ever
performed. We sat there, watching and eating gorp until it was over
and we went back to swimming." |

| "My
favorite part of the day was the morning stretch. I was usually the
first one up and got to lead the stretches as the sun was just coming
over the hill and through the trees. The morning was still cool that
early." |

Samara, age 8 |
